Charles Ogbu-wa-Chima, born on March 23, 1986, in Akpugo, Nkanu West, Enugu State, Nigeria, is a journalist, human rights advocate, and socio-political analyst. He is the son of Emmanuel Nwodo Ogbu-wa-Chima and Mercillina Ngozi Agwu and has two brothers, Jacob Emeka Ogbu-wa-Chima and Iloabuchi Ogbu-wa-Chima.

Advocacy and Controversies
In February 2018, Ogbu faced legal challenges when the Ebonyi State government ordered his arrest for allegedly spreading false information regarding conflicts between farmers and herdsmen. The government accused him of falsely claiming that the governor endorsed cattle colonies in the state, a charge Ogbu denied, asserting his commitment to truth and justice.
Engagement with Mike Ejeagha
Ogbu has shown a deep commitment to preserving Igbo culture, notably through his interactions with the legendary Igbo folklorist, Mike Ejeagha. In September 2024, he visited Ejeagha, expressing concern over the artist’s well-being and advocating for support to ensure his comfort.
In July 2024, Ogbu shared a video from one of his visits with Ejeagha, highlighting the musician’s enduring charm and storytelling prowess.
