At NAFCON, he served as the Divisional Manager, Supply and Distribution, overseeing key aspects of Nigeria’s fertilizer supply chain during a critical period of national agricultural development.
Dr. Kalu remained with NAFCON until 1997, contributing to its growth and operational success.

After leaving NAFCON, Dr. Kalu became the Nigerian Director for Proplant Inc., a Houston, Texas-based conglomerate. In this role, he facilitated major international business transactions and strengthened U.S.-Nigeria commercial ties.
