In response, the Nnamani family and friends began immediate preparations to honor her with a burial that reflected her dignity and the profound impact she had on many lives.

On Thursday, May 18, 2023, a formal Burial Planning Committee was inaugurated during a well-attended meeting at the Nnamani family residence in Amechi, Enugu. The committee, inaugurated by Barr. Onyemuche Nnamani on behalf of the family, was tasked with organizing a befitting farewell for the late matriarch.

The Committee was chaired by Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, with Senator Ben Collins Ndu as Co-Chair. The Secretariat was led by Hon. Ifeanyi Nnaji and Sheriff John Egbo. The committee further comprised 14 Subcommittees, overseeing various aspects of the burialโ€”from media and publicity to security, logistics, hospitality, and cultural rites.
