Victor Chikelue Onuorah, popularly known by his stage name Sis. Ekwutos, is a Nigerian comedian and content creator born on April 19, 1997, in Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria. He is widely recognized for his engaging and humorous skits that creatively portray the realities of everyday Nigerian life.
Victor began his comedy journey under the alias Chico Nwa Anam, but it was the introduction of his widely celebrated character, Sis. Ekwutos, that brought him into the spotlight. Early Life and Family Background
Victor Chico Onuorah was born into a family of five children. He tragically lost his father, Nnoruka Nwagadi Nโagba Mboโa well-known businessman in Anamโwhen he was only nine years old. Following his father’s death, the family faced severe hardship, with uncles seizing their property and leaving his mother with just โฆ1,000 to care for her children.
Victor spent his early years moving between relativesโfirst with his grandmother in Otuocha, then with an uncle in Lagos. After his uncle’s marriage led to his displacement, he relocated to Asaba, Delta State, where he completed his secondary education under tough financial circumstances. Though unable to afford university initially, he learned pharmacy for two years before saving enough money to write the JAMB exams and eventually gained admission to study Mass Communication at Federal Polytechnic Oko.
Career Growth and Rise to Fame
Victor began his comedic career under the name Chico Nwa Anam, but it was the creation of his cross-dressing comedic character โSis. Ekwutosโ that shot him into the limelight. According to Victor, the name “Sis. Ekwutos Igbanugo” was suggested by a Facebook fan after he introduced the skit series โI Speak As I Hear.โ The character, known for her witty humor and expressive Igbo persona, quickly gained popularity across platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter).
Victor credits his rapid success to the consistent support of his fansโespecially students of Oko Polytechnic and lovers of his contentโwhom he affectionately calls โChicoLovers.โ
