As Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu, commemorates 100 years of excellence in Catholic priestly formation, we honor the dedicated leadership of our past and present Rectors whose unwavering commitment has sustained Bishop Joseph Shanahan’s vision.
From our pioneering Rector, Very Rev. Fr. William O’Donnel, C.S.Sp., in 1924, to the current Rector, Very Rev. Fr. Albert O. Ikpenwa, each leader has contributed immensely to upholding Bigard’s mission of faith, academic excellence, and priestly formation.
Over the past century, 21 Rectors have led Bigard Memorial Seminary with devotion, shaping generations of priests and Church leaders in Nigeria and beyond.
