๐ต MUSIC CAREER
Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, known professionally as Patoranking, launched his music career from the vibrant yet challenging streets of Ebute Metta, Lagos. After facing financial constraints that forced him to discontinue his studies at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, he returned to Nigeria determined to pursue music full-time. Performing at street carnivals, campus shows, and grassroots events, he steadily built a name for himself as a promising voice in reggae and dancehall.

In 2013, Patoranking gained widespread attention with the release of โAlubarikaโ featuring Timaya. The trackโs success not only introduced him to a national audience but also connected him with Foston Musik, where he would officially sign and further hone his craft.
The breakthrough came in 2014 with โGirlie Oโ, and the explosive remix featuring Tiwa Savage catapulted him into stardom. That same year, he released other hit singles such as โDaniella Whineโ and โMy Woman, My Everythingโ (featuring Wande Coal), both of which became radio staples across Nigeria and the African diaspora. These releases earned him the Next Rated Award at The Headies and the Best New Act award at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2015.
Patoranking released his debut album God Over Everything in 2016, a project that blended reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeat with introspective lyrics and uplifting messages. It featured collaborations with Wizkid, Olamide, and Sarkodie, and cemented his place as a cross-genre innovator.
In 2019, he returned with his sophomore album Wilmerโnamed after his daughterโshowcasing his growth both as an artist and as a father. The album featured continental stars such as Davido, Busiswa, Nyashinski, and Bera, expanding his reach further across Africa.
His third studio album, Three (2020), marked another milestone. Featuring the hit single โAbuleโ, the album combined themes of love, gratitude, celebration, and street authenticity. Its commercial and critical success further solidified Patorankingโs reputation as a top-tier African music export.
Over the years, Patoranking has performed on international stages such as Reggae Sumfest (Jamaica), One Africa Music Fest, and AfroNation, while collaborating with global stars including Diamond Platnumz, Flavour, Sauti Sol, Konshens, and Elephant Man. His fusion of African rhythms with Caribbean styles has earned him fans across the globe.
