Although no official statement was released, political insiders claimed that Ajunwaโs name was dropped due to his perceived closeness with the PDP establishment. Pacific Funds Ltd, under his leadership, was reportedly under EFCC scrutiny in 2006 over irregular foreign exchange transfers. The case was quietly dropped in 2008 for lack of evidence. Critics speculated political motivations, especially as Ajunwa was linked to prominent PDP financiers. - Marital Rumors (2015):
In 2015, gossip blogs alleged he had a secret second marriage in Enugu.
